Shahd Abdelhadi is Co-Founder of Women Who Invest, a community dedicated to helping women achieve financial and personal prosperity in a way that is easy and in line with Islamic principles. She has been in the education space for the last 5 years supporting empowering initiatives including a Girls4Tech program and financial literacy training.
Shahd also serves as Head of Growth at Takadao, a technology company revolutionizing Shariah-compliant mutual protection communities through blockchain technology.
She has completed a two-year AAOIFI-certified course in Islamic Finance under the mentorship of Mufti Faraz Adam, solidifying her expertise in Shariah-compliant financial systems. Additionally, she is currently undergoing a course under al Balagh Institute on The Shariah Guide to Bitcoin, Crypto & Blockchain.

This two-part course gives you the chance to finally understand the world of crypto through an Islamic lens.
Session 1: Is Crypto Halal? You’ll explore the fundamentals from both a technical and Islamic perspective. By the end, you’ll have a clear framework to critically evaluate cryptocurrency in the context of your faith and finances.
Session 2: Filtering and Using Crypto. We move from theory to practice. You’ll learn how to assess whether a crypto project is halal or haram, explore real-world applications of blockchain in Islamic finance, and discover trusted tools and resources to help you screen projects yourself.
This course is designed to help you understand crypto at both a high level and in practical, everyday terms. We want to equip you so you can make informed choices aligned with your values and financial goals.
